COST COVERAGE
Who bears the costs
Experienced staff from KSK Farmos GmbH & Co. KG handle negotiations with cost carriers regarding the financing of 24-hour intensive care after receiving power of attorney. These are usually:
Health Insurance (SGB V)
The health insurance fund pays for medical treatment, regardless of the care level:
- Doctor visits and therapies (physio-, occupational, speech therapy)
- Hospital treatment
- Medicines, remedies and aids (e.g. wheelchair, nursing bed – with approval)
- Home nursing care in case of acute illness or after hospital stay
Care Insurance (SGB XI)
The care insurance fund pays for nursing support in case of need for care (care level required):
Social Welfare Office
If the costs of the actual care need exceed the benefits of the above-mentioned cost bearers (care insurance fund), the remaining share of the costs must either be borne privately or — if the requirements are met — covered by various offices (social welfare office, state aid, regional council).
Private Insurance
An additionally concluded health or accident insurance policy can cover a portion of the incurred costs, depending on the assessment.
